Our head chef has more than 22 years’ experience working in Italian kitchens and insists on using as many genuine imported Italian ingredients as possible – along with fine local fresh produce – to prepare authentic Italian favourites with flair and finesse.

Dine in (we’re open for lunch and dinner) and enjoy the ambience in our centrally situated Trowbridge Restaurant, or choose a take-away to order here online, for collection at our restaurant.

A Children’s Menu is available, our menu is well-supplied with vegetarian dishes and we have gluten free options as well.

Warm & Welcoming

We named our restaurant Verona Ristorante in celebration of Shakespeare, who made the magnificent medieval Italian city of Verona the setting for his dramatic romantic play, Romeo and Juliet.

We don’t just suit young lovers, however. We welcome discerning diners and lunch guests from all over the area who enjoy a hearty, good quality Mediterranean meal in a simple, yet comfortable and relaxed environment. Bring the whole family, your boss, colleagues and your best friends – special occasion or not – to be inspired by our authentic Italian cuisine.

We’re popular, so booking is essential. Don’t expect ‘fast food’ – we cook from scratch with care – but you can relax with a selection of beverages, pleasant wines, a range of spirits and soft drinks or a colourful cocktail while you wait for a memorable meal.

A wonderful evening. All the food was delicious and we had clean plates! Whitebait, pate, calamari and prawn cocktail generous, tasty. Mains: Risotto de Verona excellent; spag bol. tasty (not super large, just right for us); Lasagne for a hungry appetite. No room for dessert. Lovely staff.

Lovely independent restaurant. Unfussy inside with friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Went with 5 friends and lovely to have round table. Five different meals and all delicious - linguine, 2x risotto, chicken, pork., 4 cheesecakes and 1 tiramisu to follow - all so light and fluffy. Seriously good food with great service. Can’t believe I haven’t been before. We will definitely be back.
